I fell in love with cooking as a little girl, sitting on the counter, helping Mom cook. That shared love of cooking is what this blog is all about. I want this to be a place where we can all share and learn from each other all our favorite recipes, kitchen tips, and more. From how to fry an egg to Grandma's tried and true classics to your favorite olive oil. I hope everyone enjoys the blog, has fun with it, and will contribute your own ideas.

Pound Cake

Pound Cake
From: Jamie (Via Lee Ann)
2 sticks margarine
1/2 cup shortening
5 eggs
3 cups sugar
3 cups flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 cups milk
just a pinch of salt

Cream together margarine and shortening. Add eggs and mix well. Add the rest of the ingredients alternating the dry ingredients with the milk. Bake in a bundt pan at 325 for 1 hour, 15 minutes.

Be sure to grease and flour your pan, using pam will not work!
Sprinkle top with powdered sugar and ENJOY!
