I fell in love with cooking as a little girl, sitting on the counter, helping Mom cook. That shared love of cooking is what this blog is all about. I want this to be a place where we can all share and learn from each other all our favorite recipes, kitchen tips, and more. From how to fry an egg to Grandma's tried and true classics to your favorite olive oil. I hope everyone enjoys the blog, has fun with it, and will contribute your own ideas.

Puppy Chow

This is not a super top secret recipe. This is the same recipe you can always find on the side of any chex mix box. I am posting it because more than once I have wanted to make these and had to search everywhere for the recipe because they had a NEW recipe on the cereal box!

Puppy Chow

¾ cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
¼ cup melted butter
8 cups chex rice cereal
2 cups powdered sugar

Melt Chocolate chips and butter on low heat in medium size sauce pan. Mix melted chocolate with peanut butter. Once blended well mix chex cereal in slowly until well coated. Pour powdered sugar into gallon size Ziploc bag. In small handfuls mix the chocolate coated chex cereal into the bag with powdered sugar. Once all is evenly and well coated, pour into bowl and serve.

Tips: You can also use a double boilerfondue pot , or make your own double boiler to melt the chocolate and peanut butter.
