I fell in love with cooking as a little girl, sitting on the counter, helping Mom cook. That shared love of cooking is what this blog is all about. I want this to be a place where we can all share and learn from each other all our favorite recipes, kitchen tips, and more. From how to fry an egg to Grandma's tried and true classics to your favorite olive oil. I hope everyone enjoys the blog, has fun with it, and will contribute your own ideas.

Christi's Bacon Pepper Poppers

Christi's Bacon Pepper Poppers

Peppers of your choice
Bacon slices
Cream Cheese

You can use ANY kind of pepper you like. I don't like hot peppers so I actually buy the jar of Banana Peppers and I think the sweet mild taste of the peppers works better than the hotter ones.

Cut stem off peppers then slice peppers in half length-wise, scrape out all seeds.

With a spoon, fill peppers with cream cheese.

Cut your bacon slices into thirds. Wrap each stuffed pepper with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.

Place peppers on sheet pan or I prefer a broiler pan because the grease drips off and the bacon crisps better.

Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes or until bacon is cooked through and crispy. Serve while they are hot. Make sure to make a lot of these- they go fast!!

  1. When we served some of these to Meemaw she REALLY liked them. We quickly found that you can wrap almost ANYTHING in bacon. Meemaw went a little crazy. You name a veggie and she wrapped it in bacon. Once she even made little bundles of green beans wrapped in bacon. I guess thats one way to get the kids to eat their vegetables.. but maybe not the healthiest idea!
